DR TAFADZWA FAITH DUBE-ZVIRIKUZHE

Dr Tafadzwa Faith Dube-Zvirikuzhe is a paediatric surgeon with specialised training and experience in the operative and clinical management of complex surgical and oncological conditions in children, with a special interest in paediatric urology.

She completed her undergraduate medical training (MBChB) at the University of Pretoria in 2014 and went on to serve her internship at Far East Rand Hospital, Johannesburg. Following rotations in multiple disciplines—including paediatrics, general surgery, internal medicine, and urology—she developed a strong foundation in holistic patient care.

Her career progressed through community service at Helen Joseph Hospital, where she gained exposure to internal medicine and urology, before moving into general surgery at Edendale and Greys Hospitals. She subsequently joined Inkosi Albert Luthuli Central Hospital as a Paediatric Surgery Registrar, where she completed her Fellowship in Paediatric Surgery (FC Paed Surg) in 2023. She earned her MMED (Master's in Paediatric Surgery) from the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN ) in 2024. She has completed advanced minimally access training courses and incorporates this approach into her practice.

Dr Dube-Zvirikuzhe is passionate about advancing surgical care for children in resource-limited settings. She is an active contributor to academic meetings, clinical audits, and surgical training, with a particular interest in innovative approaches to teaching laparoscopic and surgical skills.

Beyond clinical practice, she has been actively involved in leadership and community service initiatives. Through African Exodus, a student-led mission group, she helped coordinate projects across Southern Africa focused on health awareness, education, and community development. She has also contributed to institutional committees and has experience in project planning, volunteer coordination, and event management.
